We’re Finalists at the Cornwall Tourism Awards!
We’re thrilled to announce some truly exciting news: we’ve been named as Finalists for the prestigious Large Hotel of the Year award at this year’s Cornwall Tourism Awards! This recognition means the world to us, as it celebrates everything we strive to achieve—providing an exceptional guest experience in a beautiful part of the world that we’re lucky enough to call home.
But that’s not all! We are also extremely proud to have received a special commendation in the Ethical, Responsible, and Sustainable Tourism category. This recognition reflects our deep commitment to doing things the right way—whether it’s supporting the local community, minimising our environmental footprint, or ensuring that our practices are socially and ecologically responsible. Sustainability has always been at the heart of what we do, and we’re so pleased to see these efforts acknowledged on such a grand stage.
What this means to us
Being named as a finalist for the Large Hotel of the Year award is not just a recognition of the services we provide to our guests, but also a tribute to our amazing team. Every single member of staff works tirelessly to make sure each guest enjoys an unforgettable stay, from the moment they arrive to the time they leave. The dedication, creativity, and passion that our team brings every day is what makes this achievement possible.
Our commendation in the Ethical, Responsible, and Sustainable Tourism category is especially important to us. In recent years, the importance of sustainability has never been clearer, and as a business, we believe it’s our responsibility to lead by example. Our commitment to ethical and sustainable practices extends across everything we do, from sourcing locally and reducing waste, to supporting environmental initiatives and working to preserve the natural beauty of Cornwall.
The Awards Ceremony at Truro Cathedral

Held in the stunning surroundings of Truro Cathedral, this beautiful and historic venue will provide the perfect backdrop for an evening of celebration, recognition, and inspiration for everyone involved in Cornwall’s tourism industry.
So, with fingers crossed, we head toward the big night! Wish us luck as we step into the awards ceremony—your support means everything to us!
Stay tuned for updates, and we’ll be sure to share all the exciting news after the ceremony.

The Sweet Buzz of Sustainability: Beehives at Tregenna Castle Resort
27 June 2024
Nestled within our expansive 72-acre resort are now four hives, home to thousands of honey bees. We’re thrilled to bolster our sustainability efforts, which will benefit the environment, the local community (once honey production begins), and the resort itself. Bees play a crucial role in maintaining biodiversity. As pollinators, they are responsible for the reproduction of many plant species, which in turn supports a wide range of wildlife. By hosting beehives, Tregenna Castle Resort contributes to the health of local ecosystems. The presence of bees ensures the proliferation of native flowers and plants, fostering a rich and diverse habitat for other insects, birds, and small mammals.
