We want to make sure that you experience the very best of Cornwall during your stay with us. To help with your holiday packing, we’ve put together some of our top holiday essentials that you’ll want to make sure are safely tucked away in your suitcase before heading to St Ives.
Beach bag
A trip to the seaside is much easier if you’ve got a beach bag. Opt for something big enough to carry all of your essential ‘beach day’ items such as water, sunblock, towels and snacks.
Umbrella
We’ve got our fingers crossed for a long hot summer. But it is England after all, so we’d recommend packing an umbrella just in case there’s a downpour or two during your stay.
Picnic blanket
On a warm summer’s day there’s nothing better than packing up all of your favourites treats, gathering your nearest and dearest and heading outdoors to enjoy a family picnic.
Sun cream
Remember to pack a bottle or two of sun cream to make sure that you and the little ones are properly protected during those long days building sandcastles on the beach.
Snacks
Any car journey needs to include all of your favourite snacks to make sure that everybody arrives at Tregenna Castle with plenty of energy to begin their holiday adventures.
Bucket and spade
Cornwall is well known for its family-friendly golden beaches, so don’t forget to pack a bucket and spade so that the kids can build sandcastles whilst you relax with a book.
Chargers
Make sure you pack chargers for all of your electrical devices so that you can continue to browse the internet, take photos and message your friends during your escape to the Cornish coast.
Sunglasses
Whether you plan on lounging by our outdoor pool or exploring the Cornish countryside, don’t forget to bring a pair of sunglasses so that you can comfortably enjoy those glorious sunny days.
Curiosity
So it may not be something that you can pack, but a sense of curiosity is essential for any trip to Cornwall. There’s so much to see and do, from watching a play at the outdoor Minack Theatre, and discovering the heart-shaped stone at St Michael’s Mount to browsing some of the incredible artwork at Tate St Ives.
If you think that you or the little ones may feel a little peckish after travelling to St Ives, we’d recommend booking a table at The Brasserie – our fantastic on-site restaurant that serves tasty dishes to appease any appetite.
